PICTURE BASE: Jason Wade from the band Lifehouse
PROFESSIONAL STATS. PERFORMER NAME: Adrien Cochrane ALIAS/MONIKER: The Dropkick King (main one), The Original Guardian, The Cajun Sensation BILLED FROM: New Orleans, Louisiana HEIGHT: 6'00" WEIGHT: 190 LBS PROFESSIONAL DEBUT:2005 REPRESENTING: FWA ENTRANCE THEME: "Last One Standing" by Simple Plan
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION “How many times are you gonna try to shut me out? I told you once, told you twice, I ain't going to turn back around You can say whatever, try to mess with me I don't care, I'm not scared You don't have to say you're sorry, save your sympathy With a friend like you, I don't need an enemy I would give you time if you were worth it But guess what, you're not worth it”
The lights turn off for a moment. The dueling guitar riffs from Simple Plan guitarists Sébastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco from their song “Last One Standing” as the screen reads “#Believe” in a light blue font. With a solitary spotlight on the top of the ramp, Adrien Cochrane appears the moment Pierre Bouvier’s vocals begin to echo throughout the venue. Cochrane looks at the fans from the ramp for a moment, giving a smile as he makes his way down the ramp and to the ring, hitting as many high fives and fist bumps as he can on his way to his destination.
COMMENTARY BREAK HERE
As Adrien leaps over the ropes to enter the squared circle and removes his black leather jacket to expose his #Believe shirt, he leans on the ropes with his fist in the air to the sound of the chorus.
ALIGNMENT (SELECT ONE) BABYFACE
GIMMICK Musician/wrestler, very much a driven but honorable warrior in terms of how he approaches wrestling. Personality strongly derived from handler.
RING PSYCHOLOGY (IN-RING ATTITUDE) Evade, evade, evade. Cochrane is extremely skilled in agility-based moves and counters. His nickname is also very apt at describing part of his strategy. When all else fails: dropkick them.
WRESTLING STYLE (SELECT A MAX OF TWO) ENTERTAINER: Your character feeds off of the crowd, giving them what they want and using their cheers to drive them toward victory. HIGH FLYER: Your character uses their body as a projectile, throwing themselves from dangerous heights in new and creative ways to best incapacitate their opponents.
ATTITUDE TOWARDS CHEATING NEVER
ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT DO Stop if he can keep going. He's extremely stubborn. Now, he will tap if he believes he has no choice, but the man keeps fighting when lesser spirits would give up. The man is all heart. When he loses, it's clear the man left everything in the ring.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND. BIOGRAPHY Adrien Cochrane got his start as a member of a stable in a Gulf Coast regional company called All-Star Wrestling Association, part of the World Wrestling Alliance (WfWA in OOC) and being trained by former World Wrestling Alliance World Champion "Nightbringer" Ryan Corey as one of his first students at Camp Nightfall. After a few shows, Adrien became the leader of the stable called Live Wire, being a main part of their tag division. After awhile, Adrien began to outgrow the team with Dean Hobkirk and got a few singles opportunities, eventually becoming a two-time finalist in the World Wrestling Alliance Summer Games Tournament with a new gimmick and moniker, the Original Prankster. It was until after he was dismissed by new AWA owner Edward Nair and sent to another WWA region up in New York, Hudson River Wrestling, that Adrien was able to finally capture his first championship, the HRW Manhattan Island Title. He attempted to get back into the alliance-wide tag division once more as he teamed up with Colby Blaine, with her uncle and OLW legend Ripper Longshanks managing the both of them, but the team never quite got there.
Once the WWA folded, it was awhile before Adrien reemerged, and it was with Premium Championship Wrestling, matured from his time away and refocused as the Dropkick King. Adrien Cochrane quickly dispatched many then and future PCW Hall of Famers such as Draven Logan Kennedy, Liam Reilly, then-champion Michael Morrison, Sickboy and Yoshiru Long from the Elite, Jerry Matthews, and Heather Monroe to have runs with their PCW Platinum Championship and later, his first World Title after defeating Heather Monroe in Madison Square Garden. He had one successful defense with the title at the following pay per view in Heather Monroe's final match before retirement.
Adrien left PCW for True Honor Wrestling. Though his time at THW was brief before it closed, he did capture the THW International Title on the final show from a future rival in EXODUS Pro Lexie Bonds. THW was merged to EXODUS Pro where Adrien reunited with fellow former WWA wrestlers Jimmy Riley and Justin Brooks. His association to those two landed him in the middle of the war between the EXODUS Seikigun, a group of high-profile wrestlers who was standing by injured general manager Jonathan Collins, who was injured by the hands of the other faction, a group called LEGION, who sought to destroy EXODUS Pro. Adrien quickly befriended EXODUS Pro World Champion Fiona Rourke, EXODUS Pro International Champion Heather Halliwell, Riley, Brooks, and a few others to eventually defeat LEGION, the highlight of which was Adrien being the last man standing in an eight-man tag match and able to overcome the numbers to win the match as the lone survivor.
Once LEGION was dispatched, ex-AWA owner Edward Nair shows up and starts his reign of terror, part two, trying to take over the company and dividing the roster again. This results in a betrayal by Heather Halliwell against the former Seikigun members, getting the World Title from Fiona Rourke. Once Adrien was given the opportunity to get Heather one-on-one and was able to finally capture his second World Title despite interference from everyone Nair could throw into the match.
After his run as champion, Adrien was in and out of the EXODUS Pro picture after a couple of disappointing showings before coming back on the final show in a battle royal, where he would go on to meet his future proteges, Kenzie Rydell and Adam Sanders. Cochrane ends up wrestling briefly at Rydell’s other employer, Inferno Wrestling. Inferno closed quickly, unfortunately, with Adrien’s only title shot coming from a champion who didn’t even show up for the match on the last pay per view. Once Inferno owner, Chris Night, opened up a new company called #FSociety, one of the first signings he wanted to make was Adrien. Cochrane impressed enough that when Tyson Gregory was crowned champion on the first show after winning against Adrien who was wrestling back to back matches in the match, Adrien was given the first crack at Tyson Gregory for the belt. After being a bit underestimated by the champion, the Dropkick King captured his third heavyweight championship. While Gregory didn’t waste any time getting the championship back from Cochrane, Adrien ended his #FSociety run without another loss, capping off his run on the final #FSociety show by ending the undefeated streak of #FSociety Anarchy Champion Allyson Morrow. On the final show of Karnage-Pro Championship Wrestling, just a couple of days prior to the final #FSociety show, Adrien and his then-girlfriend, Stacy Sterling, captured their tag team championships, marking the first time Cochrane had won a tag belt.
Cochrane toyed with free agency, eventually landing in Redemption Wrestling, who later changed their name to New Generation Wrestling, beginning a feud immediately with Matthew Shields. As Shields began building his army called the Destroyers, Cochrane did as well, recruiting Jazmyn Rain, Alechs Aurelio, and Honey to take them on as the Guardians, with later additions of Jessica Sears and Joshua Goldstein to replace the members who departed the company. The heights of the feud include the debut of theF Guardians after Adrien defeated Shields in a cage match, Cochrane being the last man standing in an elimination four-team stable war match with championship opportunities on the line, and the final showdown between the groups. It had some low moments with Sears being viciously assaulted, and a couple of failed attempts at the Tag Team Titles. But Adrien’s NGW run was capped off by capturing the NGW Championship at the biggest PPV for the company, WrestleForce, in a Last Man Standing match against his friend Johnny Maverick. He was able to defend it one time against Jaime Alejandro before the company sadly closed its doors.
He's still early in his HYBRID Unleashed career, joining the company in September 2018 after NGW closed its doors. The Guardians reformed with Sears, Goldstein, and fellow new signee and Adrien protege Kenzie Rydell. He even married the older half-sister of fellow Guardian, Jessica Sears, Everalda Sears, on February 14th, 2019. As a member of HYBRID, Adrien won the Guerreros of Lucha annual multi-company tournament, the Super Falcon Cup at the end of 2018, facing Seattle Pro representative Billy Danielson in the finals in a series of three matches.
One of his most memorable non-title battles under the HYBRID banner was a brutal Hell in a Cell match between Adrien and his former friend and ally turned enemy Chris Marks, with Adrien's career on the line. After somehow not giving up after being powerbombed through the roof of the cell, Cochrane was able to land a dropkick to send Marks flying off the top and into the announce table before finishing the match with an Adrien Cutter. The momentum from this victory led Adrien to winning the Duality Championship (the tag titles of the company with Jessica) and later beating Kayla Richards for the HYBRID Evolution Championship. But it was after the Evolution Championship victory that a huge change happened as Cochrane was betrayed by his once loyal friend and student, Kenzie Rydell. After Kenzie sent Cochrane to the hospital following a vicious attack after a match, Cochrane gave Kenzie her request: a student vs teacher ladder match for his Evolution Championship. After a dropkick from the top of a ladder that knocked Rydell off the ladder, Cochrane left victorious. He defended the title a record four times, and held the title longer than anyone held any title in the history of HYBRID, before dropping the title to stablemate Johnny Maverick. Cochrane went on to regain the tag titles on the final HYBRID show in Jessica's final match before her retirement.
With his student Adam Sanders signed to AWF, Cochrane has been testing the waters in the XHF Network. This all started when he revealed he was one of the secret opponents in the 2020 AWF Fired Up event, randomly assigned to Adam as a tag team partner. The duo was able to get victories over then-AWF Prestige Champion Vincent Draven, then-Phoenix Champion Neo James Carner, and even former XHF X*Crown Champion Anthony Caffrey.
Since the initial appearance, Adrien has appeared all over the place on the network. He got a victory over SKY Force's Hayley Grimes in a match at J-ROK. He's wrestled matches in Destiny Wrestling with Jason Long/Maverick, Yuki Sakaraba, and Mike Lio. He had a match with Rich Sheath at MCCW's New Year's Slamboree, and participated in the FIRESIDE New Year New Me Battle Royal. He secured a victory over two-time MCCW Champion Jason Justice and SWAT's HNDRXX at NLW's Open Fight Night. He is currently slated to face Solomon and Ryan Graham at XHF Supremacy with hushed rumors that he and Adam Sanders will be challenging for the XHF Tag Team Championship, as they currently have the requirements to cash in for a shot. Adrien is also currently in the final show of the NPW Cruiserweight Cup, winning two of three matches in his block, including over Lord Dominicus, who had interrupted Adrien's form submission for the tournament. Cochrane lost in the semi-finals against NPW star Jay Stevens.
After trying to reach out to Adrien to come to FWA, Solomon Graham, along with his brother Ryan Graham, took on Adrien and Adam Sanders in a tag team match at XHF Supremacy. Cochrane and Sanders won the match, but that only made Solomon push harder to sign the Dropkick King. He challenged Cochrane to a match at FWA War for Supremacy with the stipulation that if Adrien was defeated, he'd have to sign with FWA. Cochrane won the match but signed the contract anyway after Solomon had earned his respect. Cochrane's first match as an official member of the FWA roster was not in an FWA ring though. Using the retired New Generation Wrestling Championship for his submission, Cochrane challenged XHF X*Crown Champion Dylan Black to a match in a neutral company. The host company ended up being NLW, allowing the match to be in Adrien's hometown. After a grueling match that took almost half an hour, Cochrane was able to leave victorious as the 45th XHF X*Crown Champion.
